El Dorado County seeks volunteers for ombudsman program
The El Dorado County Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is looking for volunteers who are interested in becoming certified long term care ombudsmen.
Certified ombudsmen are advocates who visit residents of long-term care facilities, identifying complaints and concerns. They investigate any complaints and work with the staff of the facilities to resolve problems; advocating from the resident’s point of view.
There are more than 40 Long Term Care facilities in El Dorado County.
The program is currently recruiting participants for the training course that begins in May.
