    Spring Term Welcome
    Thursday, February 3, 2011
    5:00 p.m. to 6:55 p.m.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to Spring Term Welcome, which is held to give you an opportunity to meet your student’s teachers, to review course descriptions, course objectives, homework requirements and grading procedures for the second term. Year-long classes will be having an Open House from 5:20-6:55.

A reception will be held in the Gold Gym from 5:00-5:20 p.m. Several students groups including NJROTC, Cheerleaders, Friday Night Live, and Generation Green will be represented. Other organizations available to answer questions include Lake Tahoe Community College, Tahoe Youth and Family Services, El Dorado County Mental Health, Lake Tahoe Humane Society, and the Boys and Girls Club/Unity Project.

By attending Spring Term Welcome, you will learn more about our school and our excellent programs. Your student should have completed the schedule on the bottom of this letter indicating the location and the time allotted for each class. Although we have provided a time-line, you will need to know your student’s schedule in order to move from class-to-class at the appropriate time.

Sign up for online access to our Aeries server, in the counseling office, to create an account. This account will allow you to view your student’s attendance, grades, and assignments. Computers will be available to activate your account.

The parents and guardians of the South Tahoe High School Class of 2015 (incoming fall freshmen) are invited to a parent orientation starting at 6:15 p.m. in the STHS library. Due to construction parking may be limited, so carpool if possible.

On behalf of the entire staff, we look forward to meeting and sharing programs with you.

    Sincerely,
    South Tahoe High School Staff
