Helmet law for skiers moves to Calif. Assembly

State Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, is making another run at making it mandatory skiers and boarders younger than 18 would be required to wear helmets.

His bill, SB105, passed the state Senate on Monday 32-6. The Assembly will now hear the measure.

If it takes effect, the penalty would be $25.

Because Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed a companion bill before leaving office, the helmet law that had been approved last year did not become law.

How’s that going to work at Heavenly? I wear a helmet but I can see a cop sitting at the line waiting for us NV’s to come across
