South Shore fireworks

Fireworks are shot off from a barge near the state line in South Lake Tahoe on July 4 starting about 9:45pm. The time can change.

To watch them from a beach, arrive early.

El Dorado Beach is currently under construction for Lakeview Commons and will not be available to view the fireworks.

The city recommends:

* Regan Beach located nearby to El Dorado Beach

* Ski Run Marina and beach

* Paddle-wheeler boats

* Tallac Historic site and any of the beaches along Emerald Bay Road

* Camp Richardson, Pope and Baldwin beaches

* Edgewood Tahoe (a few tickets are still available)

* Nevada beach in Zephyr Cove

* Kahle Community Park just off Kingsbury Grade

* Bijou Community Park.
