A contemporary sound is emanating from the musical venues surrounding Lake Tahoe through the saxophone of Niall McGuinness and his New World Jazz Project. Soul, Latin, and Afro-jazz music is being played straight ahead and right down the middle, creating a fresh voice on the scene. With an affinity for world music, the New World Jazz Project endeavors to keep the spirit of creativity alive.

The performance is Aug. 14 at 7:30pm at the Boathouse Theatre at the Tallac Site on the South Shore.
