A four passenger sleigh has been added to the fleet at Borges Sleighrides at Stateline.

The longtime family-run operation is also going to be offering rides at Squaw Creek for the first time this winter.

The smaller sleigh is ideal for families and couples.

“We have been getting brides and grooms scheduling weddings on our sleighrides,” Dwight Borges, who took over the day-to-day operation from his parents, told Lake Tahoe News. “The sleigh also has wheels in case we need the sleigh to go on the streets. We have been getting calls form carolers wanting to ride in a sleigh around their neighborhood.”

The newest sleigh brings the number to six. Sleighs vary in size, with two to 20 people able to fit in one.

The 30- and 60-minute sleighrides during the day are usually available starting Thanksgiving weekend. Mother Nature has something to say about that each year.

Private and dinner rides are also offered.

The South Shore rides start on the north side of MontBleu casino in Stateline.
