This is an event that should be dominated by local kids, but the majority of the kids running have been from out of town coming with their parents who are running one of the many marathon events. The event is sponsored by the LTM and the Optimist Club. The event is free and finishers get a finishers medal, free hot dog, free drink, and if they register on line by Sept 7th will get a souviner race number with their name on it.

The Fun Runs are at Pope Beach starting at 2 PM on Saturday Sept 24th just after the finish line is set up for Sunday’s Marathon event. Kids will get to cross through the official marathon finish line arch.

Kids Run in one year age divisions starting with todlers to 12 year olds. Older teens can run in the Sunday 5K or 10K with you.

    Happy Trails
