DUI checkpoint in Meyers on Nov. 27

The California Highway Patrol and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Nov. 27.

The checkpoint will be located on Highway 50 in Meyers.

The sobriety checkpoint will be staffed by officers from both departments who are trained in the detection of alcohol and/or drug impaired drivers.

Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
