One can only wonder why South Lake Tahoe is hiring a Director of Engineering when it already has a city engineer or two on staff.
The City has just fired 44 people and now they have hired a new Engineer??? WOW
I thought that the City was right sized with the firing of 44 employee’s, so they have gotten rid of 44 people with Benefits and now can start hiring people with no benefits, but the City Mgr. still gets his raise and all of his BENEFITS plus a $500 dollar gas allowance plus a City Credit Card that he manages to spend $1500 dollars a month on, also has paid medical for him and his family and paid retirement.
I guess his salary of $15,416.66 a month is not enough for him to get bye on. also drives a City car. Somebody better wake up soon.
