Boat shuttle takes skiers from S. Tahoe to Incline and back

The Tahoe Queen paddle-wheeler is resuming its ski shuttle between the South and North shores.

queenIn years past the shuttle went from Ski Run Marina to Tahoe City. Starting in January it will go from South Lake Tahoe to the pier at the Hyatt in Incline Village. The idea is skiers could spend a half day at Northstar before going back to the South Shore.

Roundtrip tickets start at $59 for adults and $30 for children. That’s just for the boat ride.

Advanced reservations are required by going online.

What happens once you arrive at the Hyatt? Is there a shuttle to any ski areas?

What are the times of departure and return?

Assuming there’s a shuttle from the Hyatt to Northstar, would you be dropped right in front at the ticket office? That’s a plus. How long does the cruise take, how long the shuttle ride? It all adds up, but a fun experience for a time or two.
