Wild weather moving into LT Basin

Snow showers and plummeting temperatures are expected in the Reno-Tahoe area Saturday as a major shift in the weather pattern takes shape for next week.

A second, significant snow-producer is possible Monday, while a warmer storm packing plenty of subtropical moisture is expected later in the week.“It’s definitely a change.

“We haven’t had warm and wet like that yet,” said Shane Snyder, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno.
