RAOK: An honest clerk sets the tone for the day

Just being honest can make a person’s day. It made Jenny Anderson’s.

She is Lake Tahoe News’ latest Random Acts of Kindness winner. But she is giving her prize to the clerk, Jared, who helped her. Weidinger Public Relations is arranging for him to play a round of golf at Edgewood Tahoe.

Random Acts of Kindness are selfless acts performed randomly. They occur every day. Lake Tahoe News wants to tell the world about them. That’s what this promotion through the month of January is all about — promoting kindness.

Tell us about the Random Act of Kindness you did, witnessed or received at the bottom of this story to be considered for tomorrow’s prize.

I had a neighbor stop by to help me stack firewood. I didn’t ask her for help but she so thoughtfully came over, helped me unload and then stack. Thank you Katy!

I just like reading the comments. It’s making me pay attention more to opening the door, not being in such a rush. Thank you.

Kae love reading these RAOK but wish you could repost the situation of the winner with the win announcement, I can’t ever seem to find them! Thanks!

In the tool bar at the top of the page is a Random Acts of Kindness category from which each day’s RAOK story may be accessed.

But on this one, Kae, it doesn’t say a thing about what the clerk did.
