Lecture about musculoskeletal ultrasound in sports medicine

Jonathan Finnoff, medical director of Barton Health’s Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, will give a lecture on musculoskeletal ultrasound in sports medicine April 4, 6-7pm at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Anyone who has an interest in musculoskeletal injuries (e.g., joint, tendon, ligament, bone, or muscle) is encouraged to attend. Topics include: how ultrasound works and the advantages and disadvantages of ultrasound in relation to other imaging studies such as X-ray, MRI and CT scanners. The presentation will use a “case-based” format to demonstrate the utility of ultrasound.
