Lake Tahoe News’ coverage of the Winter Games in Whistler begins today – the first day of winter.

From today until the closing ceremonies on Feb. 28, Lake Tahoe News will be covering the Games from a variety of angles – including traveling to Canada before the Games begin. Lake Tahoe News will be your Olympic connection.

A slew of athletes from Lake Tahoe are waxing their skis and boards, sharpening the edges and honing their skills in events leading up to the Feb. 12 start of the Vancouver Olympics. We will profile some of the hopefuls in the coming weeks.

With the Olympics returning to the West Coast of North America for the first time in 50 years, it marks a significant anniversary for Lake Tahoe – the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics. We will mark that historic occasion as well.

So many people have a story to tell about the Winter Games. We would like to share yours with readers of Lake Tahoe News. Please email info@laketahoenews.net with your story and any photos you might like to share. Please include a telephone number so someone from LTN can contact you.
