The Hazel Fire near Jenkinson Lake off Highway 50 is 90 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.

The fire, which started Aug. 5 in the Sly Park area, has burned 45 acres.

The cause remains unknown.

U.S. Forest Service officials said today they plan to begin mop up operations, and continue to construct and secure a fire line. Smoke may be visible in the area today.
