Then and now: Stateline — a honeymoon destination

This is a picture of my dad at Stateline in 1953. My mom took the photo. They were on their honeymoon. They stayed at Lakeland Village.

If you look under the sign my dad is leaning on, you can see the Wagon Wheel Saloon and restaurant signs. That’s where Harveys is now.

Across the street is Sahati’s and the Nevada Club which became Harrah’s.
