Tahoe area AT&T workers to lose jobs

SACRAMENTO — AT&T is planning to lay off 525 technicians statewide by the end of March.
Local union president Joel Nielsen said those layoffs would affect about 54 or 90 technicians that work out of Placerville and serve Auburn, Folsom, Placerville, Sacramento, Truckee, and the Lake Tahoe region.
