Cooler temperatures, Aspens beginning to change color, less traffic, winters firewood all stacked and ready, snow blower tuned up and ready to go, pantry full,I’ll get back into my writing and on and on…Fall is my favorite season in Tahoe. The only sad part is watching the vegatable garden going to seed and the plants starting to whither. But then again it’s time to start planning for next years garden!
Casseroles, stews, homemade soups, fresh baked bread, all those good smells filling the house on a cold and snowy day.
Bring on fall and winter! Old Long Skiis

Empty vacation rentals—way less tourists, full time residents getting their neighborhoods back.

I couldn’t have said it better.Thank you, Old Long Skiis and Steven.

Hallelujah, Steven. But I do like the change in weather and fall colors. Dislikes are a lack of bikinis. Everyone in the county please call the sheriff for vacation rental complaints. Call Bob Albertossi in the city. The renters will never shut up and the landlords will never know unless you call to complain. The ordinance needs to be better enforced too by our elected officials. However they can’t do anything without your input. Hallelujah.

You are so right Bob about the vacations rentals. We usually call the local police, and if the complaint is valid it is turned into Bob Albertossi, and from there to the owner. I love hope valley during fall season. My favorite place to take pictures.

It is our time in Tahoe, kids back to school. Tourist thinning out. Great biking after a little rain. Still some music venues happing.
I take winters off and leave Tahoe for warm water surfing. I know it is close when i smell the Fall air.
    My favorite time of year.

Aspens turning and the kokane spawning at Taylor Creek. Cool, crisp, and clear mornings walking through the mountains above us. Shorter days, not so much!

    Donna Rise
Your’e right, perfect weather. My favorite time of the year!
Upon seeing your name I checked my freezer and I’m down to 4 frozen chocolate bananas. I’ve been rationing them so they would last as long as possible. I’ll be calling soon for another dozen.

    Same as above.
A Bike ride or hike in the cool mornings.

A nice game of golf in the cool weather with no people.
The Smell in the air as the first snow storm rolls in.

The cool days, the smell of leaves, the low sunlight…and the sky looks more blue when the trees are yellow and red. And I think the brisk air makes apple pie taste better too.
