Did she really sign off on 4-wheeling up at Heavenly? This is totally unacceptable. And at the same time, I’m still digging trenches around the drip line of my roof. Money will buy you anything, including the ok to tear up the landscape by off roading.

Hey, gang. I’m Russ Pecoraro, Communications Director at Heavenly. I just wanted to make two points of clarification here:

    1) In reference to “4-wheeling,” what we had originally proposed were Jeep Tours that would take guests on a gentle tour of our summer roads. Very low impact and not really outside the scope of how we currently drive service vehicles on the mountain in the summer.
    2) We ultimately removed that from the proposal and it was not part of what the Forest Supervisor approved last week.

Thanks for bringing up the question, as well as your passion for our community and environment. I hope to see you on the mountain soon!

    Russ, Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to a big, early winter, skiing by Halloween!
