4 EDSO cars vandalized in Tahoe

Four El Dorado County sheriff’ vehicles were spray painted with graffiti while parked at the South Lake Tahoe substation Tuesday night.

“Some of the moniker names appear to be gang related. We assume it’s local kids,” Lt. Pete Van Arnum told Lake Tahoe News.

Although this occurred on Sept. 11 – a day most Americans pay tribute to law enforcement and firefighters, Van Arnum has no reason to believe the date played a role in the timing of the vandalism. However, anti law enforcement profanity was written on the vehicles.

The crime occurred between 10pm and 11:30pm.

Red paint was used to damage the vehicles. The vehicles were cleaned up Wednesday, but some to the detail now needs to be fixed. So far, the damage is estimated at $500.

When the civil system refuses to act civilly, civilians might not act so civil. Kinda got me wondering what happened.

Criminals know they will pay little or no penalty IF they even get caught. Especially juveniles.
Perps have more rights than their victims.

The unsecured parking areas have been a noted concern of employees for decades and demands have been made to do something about it. The results were the usual employee concern dismissed or a claim the budget was spent. I can’t believe the same problem still exists and the same risks are still present after all these years. Where were the Good Ol’ Boys, Lovell and Korrupt Kollar?

So Justice, you feel that spending what would probably be into the tens of thousands of dollars to build what you intimate as being a “secure” parking area, is justified by the heinous crime that is estimated at costing the County of El Dorado $500? By any chance are you one of those “less government” folks that ALWAYS demand more services, while out of the other side of their mouth they SCREAM that we need LESS government (and ***** about the cost of paying, taxes, for the services you demand)? Not assuming, just asking.

Now they know how the rest of us feel. Time to focus on the scum that people call artists.
