Years ago I threw big parties with the help of some friends. I called them “The Freakers Ball” named after a popular song at the time. Penned By Shel Silverstein and performed by Dr. Hook. This was in the mid 70’s. For the first party, I rented out the pavillion at Meyers park,it was such a succsses I had another party the following year at Strawberry Lodge. What crazy times!!!
I got out of the big party deal and someone else took over the name. Now it’s up at Stateline and I’ve never been to the big shindig they have every year.
Nowadays I decorate the front of the house and hand out candy to the little kids. Boy, how times have changed!
