The meeting is from 11am-1pm in the upstairs conference room, 82 Main St., Placerville.

Elder Options is hosting the lunch to begin the community discussion on care-giving issues facing many families today.

A few spaces remain for this event open to those family members who are or have been caregivers. To RSVP, call (530) 626-6939.

Its too bad they don’t have a similar forum for the SLT community. Doesn’t Elder Options realize the potential difficulty for SLT folks trying to come over the hill in the winter? There is a local SLT caregivers support group hosted monthly by El Dorado Co. Social Services which great and provides lots of support. I believe that Elder Options is a for profit organization and if they really want community input the SLT community would probably have a lot different input than the Placerville folks. Just my opinion.
