Green building tour through Angora burn area
The Sierra Nevada Alliance, an 85-member conservation network serving the 400-mile range of the Sierra Nevada and based in South Lake Tahoe, is offering a special tour of green homes built in the Angora area.
The tour is Nov. 17 from 9:30am-2:30pm. It is a fundraiser for the Sierra Nevada Alliance.
The tour is guided, providing expertise on alternative energy, green building, and sustainability at each location and answering specific questions people might have about quicker paybacks on the way to a more secure future and well-being.
The tour cost is $25, or $35 including a Sprouts box lunch.
Call Scott Terrell at (530) 386.5678 or Garry Bowen at (775) 690.6900 for more information, or to sign up in advance. Space is limited.
with all the “code upgrades” we all had to conform to rebuild, i’m thinking we are all green…just saying…
“Code upgrades” (I.e., CA’s Chapter 7 building codes) don’t always translate into better performance (I.e., lower energy bills and/or family comfort in and of themselves) unless appropriate design considerations are included, which isn’t always the case. . . Join us on the 17th to know the difference. . .
