A speeding stop turned into a marijuana bust for a Nevada Highway Patrol officer.

The trooper pulled over a Black Mercedes on Nov. 4 that was traveling east on Interstate 80 in Elko. The trooper said the driver, William Dashawn Nixon, 35, of Ohio acted nervous. Then the officer smelled marijuana.

A search of the vehicle turned up abut 7.5 pounds of marijuana.

Nixon and Lewis R. Price, 27, of Ohio were arrested on possession of controlled substance/marijuana, possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, and transport of controlled substance.
