LTN subscribers can help feed Tahoe’s less fortunate

For every paid subscriber form Lake Tahoe New receives between now and the end of the year, we are going to give one non-perishable food item — might be a can, might be pasta, might be rice or something else — to entities in the basin that are in need.

Paid subscribers help Lake Tahoe News in two key ways — the more forms we have, the better for attaining adjudication, and cash keeps electric bills paid so the computers stay on and reporters get paid.

A benefit to being a paid subscriber is that you become part of the NEWS Team. From time-to-time we give away things — with the last being two tickets to the Soroptimist wine tasting.

Credit goes to longtime LTN supporter Old Long Skis for coming up with the subscriber-food drive. He’s even volunteered his truck to deliver all the goods. He’s that confident LTN will have that much food to donate after all the subscriber forms come in.

Here is a copy of a subscriber form. LTN is getting a bag of food together to donate no matter how many forms come in.

Thanks, Kae, for placing the subscription form online, as it makes it easier for each of us to donate to a great news source.

    To Kathryn Reed,
Thanks for putting that post up in LTN about the paid subscriber / food drive. Even if we only get a few cans of soup or a couple of bags of rice it will be worth it.
Can you send me a subscrption form via snail mail? My computer won’t let me access the link to get one printed out, too many filters and stuff I guess. I’ll get copies made and hand them out to friends and neighbors. I’m hoping that this is a success. Take Care, Old Long Skiis
