Letter: Asking S. Tahoe for help with snow removal
To the community,
This letter is addressed to whoever is responsible for snow removal along the bike path on Al Tahoe Boulevard. Could the residents of Pioneer Village get the snow cleared at one of the two marked crosswalks that lead from the bike path to our area?
The crosswalks are marked by signs and road paint. If you (the operator) could spend a couple of minutes to clear us some access, we would really appreciate it. Myself and a lot of my neighbors (yes we have neighbors) use the path during the winter to get out and walk with our kids, dogs and each other.
Thanks.
John Spinola, South Lake Tahoe
I want to mention that I just found out that K and K Services took it upon themselves to clear the snow so the residents of Pioneer Village could have safe access to the bike path on Al Tahoe.
Thanks you.

Mr Ken Curtzweiler up to his old tricks I see!
You can tell on our streets the experience plow drivers are really lacking, they use to make two passes, first the road then the push back. Now poorly done in a hurry job.Like the street sweeping,it’s on your tax bill for whatever reason other than to keep the dept. open few doors open.
Kinda Sad see what was once good attention be lower to such a real deal we get now. Some say even if we had higher taxes we still get the same performance.Makes you wonder does money really have anything to do with it?
Have to admit some these pot holes are very deep this year, the guys put some cheap cold patch ,day later or rain storm later deeper than ever.
If they didn’t plow our streets they would be a lot smoother.
Wow, thanks K and K. Next time I need to ask the county to sand the steep hill in front of my house, so the unprepared tourists can get to their vacation rentals, I’ll just call K and K. The county never responds anyway. Probably the female-why are you bothering me-secretary, never passes the request on.
I would like to clear up any confusion my sarcasm may have caused about a guy who always is there to help others.
Ken Curtzweiler (misspelled) doesn’t need to be asked to help, he’s always ready to help, anyone, anywhere, anytime.
In this case he saw a need and he fixed it. He does that alot actually.
Henceforth my comment “up to his ol’ tricks”
sorry for the confusion!
Kae can we get Kenny back on board on this site comment section? :)
Steven-
“Probably the female-why are you bothering me-secretary, never passes the request on.” What a boorish, sexist assumption. Maybe the “male-why are you bothering me” individual who is supposed to perform the task just isn’t bothering to do so.

Hey Steve, I don’t know if your comment was tongue in cheek, but let the commercial obnoxious vacation home rentals pay for it themselves. Vacation home rentals and the disturbances they create are driving full time residences to leave the area. Another nail in the SLT coffin.
Also, one of these days SLT will decide to collect the TOT taxes on these nuisances to offset their criminality and give a little back to the community.
Don’t hold your breath.
plow took out and buried my mail box two nights ago. never happened before in 30 years.
