A broken pipe in the fitness education center at Lake Tahoe Community College means no classes in that building through at least Jan. 16.

LTCC officials discovered the burst pipe Jan. 13. They are still assessing the situation and as of Sunday night did not have an estimated value of the damage.

All other classes scheduled for the Physical Education Building will continue as scheduled.

If my memory serves me correct, LTCC had a pipe burst in the student center dinning hall last year over the holiday break. Let’s hope they get a new Director of Maintenance & Operations hired soon.

    What a mess.
I would be curious to see a diagram of exactly where this frozen pipe, burst pipe occurred. On an exterior wall I assume?

I woke up to frozen water system for the first time Sunday Morning, I was lucky no burst pipe. An extension cord and a space heater had it resolved by 2PM yesterday. So I got my make up skiing in today. And it was a good day.
