Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are providing lift tickets to five local nonprofits to sell at a discount. Skiers and riders can show their goodwill by purchasing a lift ticket from Arts for the Schools, KidsZone Museum, Sierra Senior Services, Sierra Avalanche Center or Truckee Tahoe Humane Society. Tickets are valid Feb. 3-8 at either resort.

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows provided 300 lift tickets to each of the participating nonprofits – a total donation of $148,500 at ticket window rates.

Rates for the tickets start at $30 per ticket – a savings of up to $69. Tickets must be purchased directly from the organizations.
