• Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District has hired Sylvia Lee as a fire inspector. She was most recently with the Clark County Fire District.
• South Lake Tahoe native and 2005 South Tahoe High grad Nicole Pierini received the Dean’s Fellowship Award from Arizona State University’s school of engineering. It is only offered to top graduate student recruits.

Sylvia has relocated from Las Vegas, NV where earlier in her career she gained hospitality, convention and special events experience as the Entertainment Coordinator for the Bellagio.
For the past five years, she has been employed by Clark County Fire Department as a Fire Inspector. In this capacity, she has been involved with code enforcement, permitting, and public education. Sylvia recently served as the treasurer of the Fire Prevention Association of Nevada (FPAN) and she is fluent in Spanish.
