The 911 system in Washoe County is having problems.

The local land line phone system is currently experiencing issues at this time. Parts of Washoe County, Reno, Sparks and Carson City have been affected. As a result, some residents’ land line phone service is temporarily unavailable.

Citizens who are experiencing an emergency where they need to call 911 should dial 911 on their cell phones.

The cell phone network is unaffected at this time.
