Rise hearing moved

South Tahoe Public Utility District board President Dale Rise was to appear in El Dorado County Superior Court Friday for a preliminary hearing on a felony charge of obstructing a police officer. The hearing has been postponed until March 1, according to the office of William Cole, Rise’s attorney.

Rise was arrested at his home in September after officers responded to a domestic disturbance call. He faces up to three years in prison if found guilty.
