Dear LTN readers,

On March 11, the server that hosts Lake Tahoe News and other sites went down for several hours. This has resulted in the loss of some stories as we had to restore the database. There is a gap where some stories were not saved.

If there is a story missing that you know of that does not show up by noon March 12, please email info@LakeTahoeNews.net and we’ll do our best to resurrect it.

We will not be able to revive lost comments, so you may want to repost the comment if it was that important to you.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for continuing to read and support LTN.

Kathryn Reed, LTN publisher

Stop claiming to report your news ” first”… Quality is what matters and don’t worry you really don’t have to be “first” when there really isn’t a “2nd”….. Focus on quality an on stories that really matter to Tahoe residents …. Also… Nobody has answered my question… ” why is it possible to take a public bus to Walmart but not to Meyers? I can almos guarantee that there are more people from Meyers that work and spend thier money in Tahoe than from Carson city! Maybe you could answer this question “FIRST” … It may be harder than you think cause nobody I’ve ever asked could give me an answer that makes sense.

    Shenja,

The numbers don’t work for there to be bus service to Meyers. It’s that simple. Officials repeatedly cite the cost per rider as the reason there is no longer service to Meyers.

You might want to contact El Dorado County Supervisor Norma Santiago 530.621.6577. She is on the Tahoe Transportation District board, which oversees BlueGo.
