Carson City bounty hunter faces charges in S. Tahoe
Five misdemeanor charges have been filed against a Carson City bounty hunter in regards to his actions in South Lake Tahoe.
Ty Robben
Douglas Lewis with Justin Brothers Bail Bonds has been charged with unlawful arrest, aggravated trespass, vandalism, battery and damaging a vehicle.
The incident occurred in October at the South Lake Tahoe home of Ty Robben. Robben wanted felony charges filed against the suspect. He said the bounty hunters broke down his door and used a Taser on him.
Robben has since filed a civil suit against the Carson City firm.
It was the delay in action that led Robben in January to protest near the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.

The ‘Bounty Hunter’ Business License (“BL”) has been “REVOKED” – That’s right, Doug Lewis has no BL, see for yourself on the Secretary of State website:

I think that bounty hunter has watched too many episodes of Dog. What an idiot.
The protest worked, but not good enough. I think that the district attorney’s office can justify a felony charge pertaining to battery charge. I think it’s weird that no felony charges were filed. But this doesn’t surprise me. People whom have connections with law enforcement, are obviously treated with different standards than the rest of us citizens. Perhaps another protest is in order. We should press for at least one felony charge. If these people are not convicted of a felony, they retain their right to bear arms. I don’t want these kinds of people continuing in their business, or having guns. The issue of law here is that these people acted by choice and went looking for a confrontation. Thus they are the aggressors, engaging in a physical altercation. Ty Robben was correct when he alleged attempted kidnapping. If you need to know, look up California kidnapping law. I looked it up.
