For 2013, the Best in the Basin nomination period will run from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 for projects that are completed between Oct. 12, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2013.

The updated nomination period will allow the judging panel to attend project tours the following spring or early summer when snow has receded and vegetation is at its best, rather than dodging changing weather conditions and visiting winterized sites in late October or November as has been the practice.
