I am so excited that “Live at Lakeview Commons” is coming back. I have all my Thursday’s reserved to be there. It is truly a fantastic way to savor a summer day. I can’t wait.

Gary Romano’s book is highly anticipated and, no doubt, one that will shed light on the invaluable business of farming. For me, Bona Fide Books is a huge part of what makes Tahoe great.

I haven’t been to the concerts yet — where is best place to park… and sit?

Parking will be simple, the city is installing paid parking so you’ll have to pay to listen to the free concert.

You will get to pay $2.00 per hour and $4.00 per hour on holidays at Regan Beach (the dog beach for locals), Lakeview Commons, Lakeside Beach and Venice Dr (Cove East for locals) to the marina if our city council passes it next meeting. There will be a whole new division of code enforcement cheif and two superintendents plus staff year around 8:00 to 10:00PM. Call your city councilmen!

Also the model for paid parking is for every dollar they collect through the kiosk they intend to collect an additional $2 through issuing parking citations (tickets). In other words if they collect $100,000 through paid parking, they’ll collect another $200,000 through tickets.

That will make the tourists and locals feel welcome!
