The Truckee-Tahoe Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association will be hosting three Young Eagles events this summer.

Their monthly pancake breakfast in conjunction with Young Eagles Flights is June 8 at Truckee-Tahoe Airport between 7:30-10an. Children ages 8-17 who attend with their parents have the opportunity to fly free Saturday morning.

Additional dates for Young Eagles flights are:

July 7 at the Truckee-Tahoe Airport. Registration for this event takes place on July 6 at the Truckee Air Fair. All participants for this event must register in advance.

Aug. 25th at Lake Tahoe Airport. Registration for this event takes place on Aug. 24 at the Lake in the Sky Airshow. All participants for this event must register in advance.

The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.

This is a fantastic program. The volunteers go unrecognized for their efforts. We are fortunate to have this available to our local youth.
