An 8-year-old cyclist was flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno from Truckee on Sunday after being hit by a vehicle.

Authorities say the youth sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened in the Glenshire subdivision of Truckee.

The exact cause of the collision has yet to be determined, but Truckee police officers said speed and alcohol were not factors.
