LT Boys & Girls Club helps students attend LTCC

The Lake Tahoe Boys & Girls Club recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to Chris Gerrard and Nic Francis to attend Lake Tahoe Community College in the fall.

The idea for the BE GREAT Graduate Scholarship fund started with Jeff Tillman, Boys & Girls Club board president

Gerrard and Francis volunteered at the club while in high school.

This is the first year of the BE GREAT Graduate Scholarship program.

Way to go Jeff! Hats off to you old friend. Still supporting the Boys and Girls club after all these years. Kudos to you and others in this small community who devote time and money for the betterment of SLT.
Speaking of years, (the self appointed), “Grand Poobah”,(Jeff Tillman), what do you remember of the Led Zeppelin concert in Oakland we went to in 1977? Was it all those crazy locals driving down there to Oakland?
Crashing out at your sisters house in P’ville? Me screaming from the backseat of your blazer to slow down on the back roads of Placerville at midnight? Watching what would be Led Zeppellin’s last Live performance?
Keep up the good work Jeff and keep STR, its hardworking employees and your customers happy.
