There will be a sustainable landscaping workshop on Aug. 20 from 6-8pm at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach.

The purpose of the event is to provide people with hints and tips to save water and thereby save money. Water saving technology and practices, water-wise landscaping techniques, turf removal techniques and re-landscaping ideas, yard fertility practices for healthier turf and clean water, and turf irrigation scheduling and seasonal maintenance will be talked about.

This event is free. It is sponsored by the North Tahoe Public Utility District, Tahoe Resource Conservation District and the University of California Extension Master Gardeners.
