Don’t know Ms. Shafer, but the art department, IMHO, has entirely too much nepotism, much to the detriment of LTCC.

“The El Dorado County Grand Jury is looking for things to investigate.”

Maybe it’s just me, but drumming up “things to investigate” seems a bit odd.

4mer “drumming up” your take. Here is a good one recently published. FBI established public corruption hotline.
The article reads When public officials, whether elected, appointed, or under contract use their public office for personal gain, they damage the public trust.
long story short. The FBI has requested assistance of concerned citizens.

    Alex Campbell:

I think advising the public where they may report what they believe might be misconduct or public corruption is a good idea. This EDC Grand Jury notification just struck me as somewhat humorous since it said “Submit an idea to:” followed by the contact information. Perhaps it is the syntax rather than the actual information that I find humorous, as it sounds similar to making a submittal for a contest. Just my opinion accompanied by a warped sense of humor.

There is public corruption locally, and those in positions of power believe they’re immune. When the El Dorado County Grand Jury investigates the well known actions of some public employees, I predict it will make news well beyond LTN.
