Anderson inspires students she’s never met

She’s going for the gold in Russia, but Olympian Jamie Anderson of South Lake Tahoe has a whole legion of fans in Sacramento that she’s never met.

Yet, Anderson is inspiring those fans to reach for the stars.

“The way she does tricks on her snowboard is very cool,” said Alexandra Infata, a ninth-grader at Cristo Rey High School.

The students at Cristo Rey are tracking Anderson’s every move.

I know this lady from So. Lake Tahoe and I am so pleased she has done so well.
Congratulations to Jamie and safe travels in your return trip home.

Well, I don’t know Jamie – but she is a WINNER and big source of pride & inspiration for South Lake Tahoe! Julia Mancuso is also a local Olympic star! A reception of recognition for the Olympians from SLT should happen when they return home. Maybe they can share the magic of how to pursue your dreams with our young (& not so young!).
