On March 25 at 5:30pm, the Friends of the Library will be hosting a special presentation — the 21st Century Library: So Much More than a Building of Books.

Jeanne Amos, director of El Dorado County’s library system, will describe how this information center has advanced with the information age.

Afterward, specially-invited stakeholders and other library-lovers will discuss how the library can stay a vital information center into the future.

I so agree with Kelley. The public library is often called “the people’s university” because it is available to all, regardless of age, skill level, or ability to pay. Our South Lake Tahoe Library offers incredible programs and tools to enrich everyone’s life. I am so happy we have such an exceptional place serving our community.
