By Chris Megerian, Los Angeles Times

SACRAMENTO — Gov. Jerry Brown called on three scandal-plagued state senators to resign on Friday, speaking out for the first time on a series of criminal cases that have sapped Democrats’ power in the Capitol and tarnished the Legislature’s image.

Brown’s statement comes hours after the Senate voted to suspend Sens. Leland Yee (D-San Francisco), Ronald S. Calderon (D-Montebello) and Roderick D. Wright (D-Inglewood).

Friday’s vote was the first time the Senate suspended its own members, and the first time Brown called for their resignations.

Interesting. If these guys were with the GOP, they would be heros.

No, R4T, if they were GOP they’d probably have resigned already.
What a ridiculous thing for you to say.

The indictment says Yee introduced UCE to “State Senator 1,” “State Senator 2,” and “Legislator 1

Ed Jew who was in federal prison and EX San Francisco supervisor, ratted Yee out to the Feds.
Ed Jew was released early due to his cooperation.

There’s more to come, the FBI has not released the names yet.

This investigation has been going on over five years, the weaponry Yee brought into California is staggering all the while serving as the leading dem for gun control, criminals have been supplied with serious hardware from Yee, none of this stuff could have been sold legally.

Dog. Again, never heard of David Vitter? Larry Craig? Tom Foley? Like they resigned right away.

Hunter. You prove my point. The GOP loves guns and does not care who gets them or how.

    R4T: I said “probably” didn’t I?
Also, how does Hunter prove your point? Those guys are all Ds. Not that it really matters. The main thing is that they’re all slimeball criminals, providing guns and money to terrorists.
Your blanket statement that the GOP loves guns and doesn’t care who gets them or how is pure horse$#!t. Besides being irrelevant to the story.

Your right Rock, George Bush and the Tea party are to blame. I bet Fox news has been trying to cover this up for years.

This is just the beginning. I hope Yee goes to trial, it will be epic. I bet you his largest campaign contributors are unions.

I hope he never resigns and rats on the rest of his friends. This is so ironic it could be a movie plot.

He makes Poland seem like a choir boy. People are getting wise to the abuses of the entitled class. I bet he rats on his friends and gets early retirement.

Sunrise. Bush, Tea Party and Fox all love arms and arm sales or trades to anyone breathing through their noses; dictators, criminals, mental patients, kids, etc. The more the merrier is the motto for the American Arms Race. So no, I would not be surprised.

Time to add Democratic gun control advocates and school board presidents to that list.
