Tahoe sustainability projects receive TRPA funding

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency in its role as the Tahoe Metropolitan Planning Organization has awarded more than $550,000 in grants to Lake Tahoe organizations for community-based planning projects aimed at sustainability and improved mobility options around the lake.

The On Our Way Community Grant Program is a new program that is designed to help community organizations and local governments identify transportation and other improvements that improve walking and biking, create safer streets, and support economic vitality.

Washoe County Signage Master Plan for SR 28 National Scenic Corridor & NV Stateline to Stateline Shared Use Path $53,000
Tahoe Rim Trail Association Connecting Tahoe Rim Trail Users to Transportation Alternatives $25,744.

    $200,000.00 for the Meyers plan? could be wasted

    Interesting how this Sustainability Group can literally lie on their application that the Meyers Plan is “ready to use” six months ago to get this funding !
    The Meyers Plan is still not done to this day !
    The Strategic Growth Council that granted this funding is another state conceived- unchecked spending program that we all pay for !
