The new bicycle-walking path between Elks Point Road at Nevada Beach and Round Hill Pines Resort passes directly through these views.

The black and white photo includes likely a 1949 or 1950 Ford parked left of the white center cabin.

Round Hill Pines is under new management this year, and these historic buildings (plus the several others outside these photos) are undergoing restoration/renovation, starting with roofs replacement.

I’m told that key scenes from the 1990 movie “Misery” starring James Caan and Kathy Bates were filmed here at Round Hill Pines and in Genoa.

Mornin’ Bill, Glad to hear they’re fixin’ up those old cabins out at Round Hill Pines, long overdue! I hope the new management restores and upgrades the snack bar, patio and restrooms by the beach.
I’ve been there many times over the years: Ducks Unlimited picnics, a high school reunion (which was longer back than I care to think about!) or just hangin’out with friends.
Good to hear they are “restoring and not destroying” (That phrase copyrighted by OLS.). Save another old gem of Tahoe!
The vehicle to the left of the old photo looks to be a Willys Jeep Wagon, kinda rare nowadays.
Another good one Bill! Take care, Old Long Skiis
