USFS seeks comments about bear-proof containers

The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is accepting comments on the environmental assessment for a proposal that would require proper storage of food and refuse at developed recreation sites in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Comments will be accepted through May.

    What the he..! Isn’t this a no brainer ? Of course there should be proper food storage, and ticket the campers if they are not complying. I’m surprised to find out there isn’t already rules about trash.

    Are you telling us, there is no flyers for campers to be aware about the bears in camp grounds ? Get with the program,For every camper that goes though a campground ,flyers should be given,or cited for trash of food in areas,dam,,,right ,
