Tahoe Keys Marina forced to pay debt

image_pdfimage_print

An El Dorado County sheriff’s deputy spent a couple hours at Tahoe Keys Marina on Aug. 9 collecting $7,000.

“There was a civil judgment against the marina for a debt that was owed. We had a court order – writ of execution – to place a person at the business to seize funds to cover the debt owed. This was done. The debt has now been paid off,” sheriff’s Lt. Pete Van Arnum told Lake Tahoe News.

The deputy was collecting all of the money that was coming across the counter until he had the $7,000.

I wonder how long the sheriffs will have to stay in the office to collect the 300,000+ dollars that the marina pocketed for maintenance dredging that they have not done.

Wow. Is no one else as suprised as I am that they were able to collect the money in one day. I didn’t know that $7,000 worth of customers get lost and patronize the keys. I say they get lost because we all know that nobody intential wants to spend money with a business that lies, cheats and steal from government agencies and locals like TKM.

I think they, or whomever the Authorities were, used to drop in now and then at Tahoe Tom’s gas station and mini-mart and collect money, but I don’t remember anything about stationing a deputy there. …Vague memory on all this….I think the money was due for fuel spillage problems there…??
Glad to hear the Marina is, even if forced-to, paying-up.

Whoever said “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” didn’t know these morons. My question is when do they get tired of the legal judgments & losing money and move on to their next “project”?

And who the heck still keeps their boats there?

Who is in charge of making sure their liability insurance is still in place? They seem to have broken every other rule of business.

If I was an employee I would be concerned about this summers quarterly employer tax contributions.

I need to do that with KTHO Radio. They still owe me over $30,000 on my contract. Amazing how businesses can get away with operating like that.

Didn’t Steve Hing operate the Ketch the last year he had it on a cash and carry basis, and not paying employees for months?

Mr. Krilich who owns Tahoe Keys Marina (TKM) must have some real powerful connections. He leaks sewage into the lake and isn’t asked to clean up or pay a fine. He bulldozes state owned land and turns it into a dirt parking lot adjacent to TKM property, without permission or permits from the state lor local regulatory agencies. So far not much happening on that front other than, “we’re looking into it”.
Whats next? Start selling off boats he does’nt own who are renting slips in the marina? I wish I hadn’t written that last line as it may have planted a seed in their minds. “Yeah, Lets start selling other peoples boats, alot of money there”.
So as the saga of TKM unfolds you just have to shake your head and say “only in Tahoe”. Take care, OLS
