Victims of CPS seek class-action lawsuit participants
Letter to the community,
Tahoe Victims of CPS has joined together with families on the West Slope of El Dorado County to form the El Dorado County Victims of CPS. All parties involved are either advocates for CPS reform, or families that have had their constitutional rights violated by CPS.
First and foremost, we do not want any more children removed from innocent parents; but we also want to ensure that social workers employed by Child Protective Services’ Investigative Unit have the proper training.
We have heard from numerous parties in the community that social workers are hired off the street with no training, and the funding is not available to properly train these social workers. So what we have are employees of the county that enter people’s homes by intimidating them, and removing children without a search warrant. Not only are the families traumatized by these actions, but also social workers then falsify the facts in their report to the court to cover up their illegal activities, a fact confirmed by a number of court-appointed family court attorneys.
Law enforcement, whom we support whole-heartedly, has somehow been misinformed that they need to support these illegal acts. We encourage all law enforcement officials called to a home by a social worker, to ask where the search warrant is, unless exigent circumstances exist that put the child in harm’s way. We do not want our wonderful law enforcement members, or even social workers for that fact, leaving themselves open to criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits.
El Dorado County is a great place to live, but as residents, we need to live here without the fear of renegade social workers misinterpreting the Child Welfare Codes, which were written to protect children from gross neglect, abuse, and possible death. We want our county’s CPS to be the model that other counties and states can mirror.
We are inviting any resident of El Dorado County, past and present, to write us with their experiences of violations by Child Protective Services and their interest in a class-action lawsuit against Child Protective Services for violation of their constitutional rights, namely the 4th and 14th Amendments.â€

The comment about it being a closed door, kangaroo court is all too true. They didn’t even want to let family stay in the court room while they discussed adopting out our children siting reasons like we are too poor to afford them, I crashed 2 cars and we moved to Nevada as the most recient excuses in a long list of bull that have allowed them to keep our kids away for the past 18 months.
MY GOD! is there NO end to this?
My Grandson was ALSO taken by El Dorado County C.P.S., 21 months ago. There have been NO viable signs of attemped “Family Reunification”. To the contrary, C.P.S. has gone to great lengths to “Demonize” both parents and place ALL focus on a forced adoption by the current foster family. NO attempt on their part, (CPS), to contact extended family members.
I am really confused! The U.S.A. that I was born into, (71 years ago), has ALWAYS stood for the biological parent. Except for cases where ongoing, physical or mental harm was demonstated, the BIOLOGICAL parent TRUMPS ALL.
If any part of this post should inspire ANYONE else to speak out, PLEASE DO!

I was not only abused by the system I was an employee for 6 1/2 years. Contact me for at legnth interview. These people are told to lie, remove notes from files before they go to court because it might make the parent look good, etc. I sued them years ago and ready to sue again. They placed my kids with a father that did not know them or have a relationship and in fact had a NO VISITATION order. This jerk then hurt both kids with a belt and molested my daughter. They ahve done everything they can to see him not prosecuted for this offense because it will be very bad for them. At NO time did they listen to the kids about how dad made them lie and ere on witch hunt to get me because of an earlier lawsuit
cps has stole the ai i breath, they came in to our happy healthy home stole my 3 girls. never being in trouble at all to haveing my intire reson to breathe torn from me.all on alligations. i unable to hire attorny no money.is there anyone who will help bring my girls home

In this citation, the state of California must provide an impartial administrative review for all contested CPS findings.

I live in Indiana and the same thing goes on here. They took my grandson and adopted him out. I went thru 5 attorneys and spent I can’t remember how much money to seek custody. None of the attorneys new about family law. I took
all the tests the Welfare Dept. ask me to and they couldn’t find any reason not to place him with me but they pushed me under the rug and did what they wanted like I did not exist. I thought I was going to have a nervous break-down. That was 18 years ago. He is now 21 and I have seen him but he is not the same little boy who couldn’t wait to see me and cried when I had to take him home. He has been ingrained with someone’s life style and beliefs. As far as I can see he considers his adopted family his family. I will not compete with that and deal with anymore stress. I plan on retiring and leaving the state to get away from all the heart break and bad memories my son and his life style has caused me thru all these years. My advice to grandparents is don’t let your adult kids drag you into their life. Let them go.
so what is the latest in this case? Where do we sign up to join this fight against the robbers up there? I am tired of being railroaded to the point of homelessness and unemployment. My children were listed in the latest report as “Cute and highly adoptable” and yet when my parents were managers for a small motel that had a family staying there and the mother was ARRESTED and the children abandoned CPS did nothing to relocate them. They only seem interested in stealing and SELLING the children of good honest Americans and not the sleezeballs that need them taken away!
CPS Is no good family should take kids if someone needs help. My Son 4 years old was raped in shower by his foster father more than 1 time. He is 17 now and just told me have had him back for 8 years he always looked very sad, he has held it in all this time. I’m going to sue the holly FF out of them it will not take back what they took ever

I’m a mother of 4 children, 3 with special needs. My children were taken in to custody by El Dorado County CPS on December 30, 2010.
How is it in the Unites States we’ve allowed a single entity to become so powerful that they have ability to ilegally enter our homes and within minutes completely devestate the lives of our children and our families; False allegations and the misrepresentation of information to obtain a signature from a Judge was all that was needed.
I’ve spent countless hours over the past several weeks immersing myself into the world of CPS and our legal system. I’m heartbroken by the countless tragic CPS stories I’ve read, and the reality that this is really happening to me and so many other innocent victims of a system that we have actually given life altering power to without any due process!
The mental and emotional damage that my children and I have endured has already been done, and has taken it’s first serious toll; my 16 year old autisic son was admitted to a psychiatric hopsital over a week ago, he suffered terribly for days while they drugged and misdiagnosed him. I was assured by CPS social workers that his medical records were provided to the hospital…the treating psychiatrist informed me after they started drugging him that he never received medical history information!; he was placed on medication that I did not consent to all withouth any consideration of his underlying diagnosis.
As a special education advocate by profession, I have fought tirelessly for many years accessing services for my children along with hundreds of other children. Years of succesful treatment and intervention for my children have been destroyed overnight.
My children and I are suffering needlessly along with thousands of other children and families. Economically disadvantaged families are the most severely “CPS abused” cases. While I can’t change what has happened to me and my children, I can and will make a difference going forward.
I am personally committed on behalf of my children and so many other innocent families to doing whatever is needed to stop the willful and negligent acts of Child Protective Services from tearing families apart in such a destructive and emotionally damaging manner.

I have 3 children that I had been trying to take care of by myself for two years because their father ws in prison for being with a 16 yr. Old. I was already divorced from him years before he got with the 16yr. Old. I was in an abusive relationship . Cps got involved and I gladly left. I got a job and had an apartment but then my place of employment was closed down and I couldn’t afford my place. Cps had me place my kids outside of the home so I let my cousin take them. Two weeks later I was not allowed to see or talk to them. Seven months went by and I finally got family counciling sessions. Cps has been concerned about my drinking which I did use to drink too much. Nothing eve happened to my kids due to my alcoh usage but I quit drinking. I messed up and drank and cps found out .i went to a six month program on my own but couldn’t afford it after two months so I let. I now have nit seen my children now for three months. They are going to give the kids to my ex husband who is a registered sex offender and has years of domestic violence to me. My caseworker says I won’t see my kids for another year if even then
My 3 year old daughter has been in placement for 16 months. CPS took her from her home when she was two because the landlord made a bogus complaint so he ccould have a legal reason to evict them. They came with no search warrant and the police. They realized that there couldn’t have been a domestic violence incident with the husband because he wasn even home from work yet. The CPS worker took the child and the police ordered the parents to come in for drug testing. The tests were negative. The caseworker developed an horrific abuse case out of his imagination and placed the child in a foster/adoptive approved home. My daughter gets one 2 hour supervised visit per week.She doesn’t have anyone to help her fight this organization.
Why are CPS doing this…because the federal government has mandated them to more children our oif foster care and back to their parents or into legal adoptions. They have selected adoptions because they get thousands of dollars for each adoption, it isn’t as much work, they are able to build a dishonest group of people to testify against the parents, and they don’t have to work at real investigations.
Our Federal Rights are being violated. If anyone knows a pro bono federal attorney most os the people that have written in to this site have a right to recover major damages and hopefully their children.
