Strong-arm robbery turns out to be ruse

The reported victim in the strong-arm robbery in Roseville that involved three South Shore men has recanted his story.

According to Dee Dee Gunther with the Roseville Police Department, the victim and suspects knew each and there was no car on Craigslist that was being bought or sold.

Gunther told Lake Tahoe News the four knew each other. The “victim” did have facial injuries, but declined medical assistance.

She added that the three who were arrested last weekend would not face charges in Roseville. South Lake Tahoe officials could not be reached to know if they face local charges.

Here is the original story.

Link to the whole story? This is pretty bizarre.

The real story? If you want to buy anything off “Crook’s List” make sure you do it in the Police parking lot or inside your bank.

Seems someone’s comment “Too bad they’re still breathing’ may have been a tad bit harsh….maybe even premature. Imagine that. I guess there is a reason we don’t have vigilante justice as the law of the land. Who would’ve thunk it.

Where’s the rest of this story? Isn’t falsely reporting a crime a crime in itself?

Hmmm: Not harsh had this been true. Yes, perhaps premature. Not fond of crooks AT ALL. This boy who cried Wolf should be charged for filing a false report.

You’re right Mel. No mention of the name in the first article of the “victim”, but quickly named all 3 suspects. Now it turns out the “victim” was in on it and all 4 knew each other and all charges dropped. What are we missing here… everything! News articles should have answers not create more questions.

The real story is the “victim” who’s first name is Kevin made up him getting robbed for 30 grand for a car. Which in the process gave my brother and husband all this bad publication and lose of jobs and a house and our own money that was legally saved with proof over a lie that he finally realized couldn’t get away with so he tried to .change it and take it back and now under investigation for buying and selling drugs.
