The South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Mixer at Explore Tahoe on Feb. 24 at 5:30pm.
Explore Tahoe is located at 4114 Lake Tahoe Blvd. in the Heavenly Village Transit Center (between Stateline Brewery and the Marriott) in South Lake Tahoe.
Explore Tahoe, a visitor and interpretive center, was opened to the public in July 2007 to enhance the existing building by combining a mass transportation hub with an outdoor recreational visitor’s center.
This Mixer is open to all businesses and the community at no charge. Parking validation is available at the Heavenly Village Parking Garage for carpools of two or more.

The Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee meets Feb. 23 from 9am-4pm at the Sierra Nevada College, Assembly Room 139, 999 Tahoe Blvd., Incline Village.
LTFAC will address issues related to federal activities at Lake Tahoe. Items on the agenda include:
The Tahoe Working Group (TWG) will present their Lake Tahoe Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA) Round 11 recommendation for capital projects and science themes.
Discuss the status of re-chartering and member nominations for the next LTFAC two-year term.

The Heart Opening Retreat on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe is May 7-9.
This three-day retreat is at the Zephyr Point Conference Center. The conference offers time for deep introspection, discovering one’s heart’s desires, participating in silent meditations and song, and opening up to the power of loving one’s self, creating a deeper connection to their own language of the heart. The 42nd Annual Tahoe Douglas Rotary St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is March 13 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Tickets are $60.
A Spring Concert presented by the South Tahoe High School Visual and Performing Arts Department and featuring the STHS Band & Orchestra is on St. Patrick’s Day – March 17 — at 7pm at the Little Theatre on the school campus.
It’s free to the public and there will be a bake sale and a Pot-O-Gold Raffle to benefit STHS Music.
This will be the last performance in the Little Theatre before it undergoes major Measure G renovations.
